Ladies, hold on to your hats! Britain’s biggest baby – at least the Britain’s biggest baby born in the last 20 years – weighed a mammoth 13lb 11oz (6.2 kg).

No doubt your faces are wincing in pain as you gasp in the air of a sympathetic breath – but wait; the story gets better (which is why I simply had to share).

Rosie Hall, mum to gorgeous Zachery, delivered her boy naturally with only a little gas and air at the end of her nine-hour labour. Insane!

As a mum who has been through the whole birth thing, I am in awe of Ms Rosie Hall… and can’t help but remember a most brilliant line from Look Who’s Talking (rock on 80s!) when Kirsty Alley tells John Travolta that giving birth is like “squeezing something the size of a watermelon out of an opening the size of a lemon”.

Women do it all the time – our bodies can handle and so can our minds!

Let’s ‘ching ching’ our proverbial glasses and “cheers” to a little girl power!
