Many expectant mothers prefer not to spend masses of money on a nursing bra because it is an item that will only be worn for a few months, especially when breast size fluctuates inconsistently during pregnancy and breastfeeding. I had a torturous time trying to find a nursing bra that was attractive but also decently priced. Considering it is completely natural, nutritionally best for your baby and an all-round good thing to do, breastfeeding in public can attract an awful lot of unwanted attention.  Only recently, a breast-feeding mother was asked to be more discreet whilst she fed her newborn in a library, where the only other person present was a pregnant woman.
