Ultrasound tweezers face hair removal

Selectif Pro has launched an ultrasonic probe that is designed to remove unwanted hair. The device works by channeling ultrasound directly to the hair root via a probe. The ultrasound is then converted into heat and the temperature increase succeeds in inhibiting hair growth. To ensure that the ultrasound is directed to the hair root only, the hair follicle is gripped by a tweezer-like hand piece – surrounding skin is unaffected because the energy is applied directly to the hair shaft.

Natural remedies for dry skin

As winter peeps around the corner, cold air and dry skin along with it, it’s time to prep that skin and stock those cupboards. There are so many dry skin remedies available to choose from that it is sometimes a relief to just try a home-remedy; the old-fashioned kind of advice that a grandmother would give. Scented nail polish

Rimmel’s latest gimmick is enough to send nail painters into a retro-frenzy of prolific proportions. Scented nail polish! Soon it will be lickable – in true Willy Wonka style. As the nostalgia sets in, bask yourself in the scents of Apricot Punch, Cranberry Zest, Strawberry Fizz and Lemon Drops. The varnish retails at £2.99; cheap enough to purchase all four flavours and do a bit of mix and match – create a fruit cocktail by mixing the shades up with some funky design work. In all of the excitement, one almost forgets that summer 2010 has pretty much said its goodbyes. Does that mean that the novelty of Rimmel’s I Love Lasting Finish Fruities Nail Polish range polish has to be over? Not in my books. Black is back this autumn, in all shapes and forms, and guess what? Everything matches with black, including Apricot, Cranberry, Strawberry and Lemon. It’s time to let those creative juices flow.

Detox this Autumn

Now that 2010’s decadent summer dalliances with delicious cocktails, delectable chocolates and delightful pastries have come to an end, it’s time to lay the Pimms, picnics and barbeques on the beach to rest. Yes ladies, it’s detox time! Autumn offers the perfect opportunity to get that slightly misshapen summer bod back in shape so that it can fit into a killerific outfit for that end-of-the-year Christmas do. A detox, or cleansing, diet is not a weight loss diet but rather a way of removing potentially toxic substances from the body. Detox diets also often have quite severe restrictions and should be undertaken with care. Detoxing is usually a short term exercise and according to About.com: Alternative Medicine , detox diets:
