Ever wonder why people around you seem to be effortlessly slim while you just pile on the pounds as soon as look at food? It could be that you are in denial about what you are really eating, drinking and doing during the day. Time to take a look at the choices you make morning, noon and night.
I’m not talking about fad diets or drastic solutions involving wrapping yourself in clingfilm and sitting in hot water. It’s actually much simpler than that.
I find that if you live by three basic rules, you should find yourself settling nicely into a healthy body and happy state of mind that can last you a lifetime.
The three healthy lifestyle tips are:
* Make smart choices every time you eat.
* Make smart choices every time you drink.
* Exercise regularly to condition your body and mind.

If you follow these healthy lifestyle tips, you will lose weight, improve your skin tone, and feel more energised. The key is to be honest with yourself about exactly what you do eat, drink and do during the day.

On the face of it, I may appear to be a neat person. Open my drawers and cupboards and the truth will be revealed.
I really do try to keep my clothes organised but chaos usually rears its inconvenient head before too long. Whilst digging through the loud cacophony of shirts, trousers and dresses that populate space in my room, I often find things that I forgot I had (I am embarrassed to admit) which suggests that my wardrobe is also in a state of figurative (mental) disarray.
Which is why a wardrobe app like Stylebook appeals to me!
The wardrobe app is a wardrobe organisation and closet management tool (created by a fashion industry insider). The app boasts over 90 features, some of which are:
* The ability to add images of your own clothes.
* The ability to create magazine-style outfit layouts.
* A calendar with wardrobe history.

* Custom categories and icons for inspiration, clothing and looks.

ShWopping is set to be the latest fashion craze – at least that’s what Marks & Spencer hopes.
The retail giant recently joined forces with the absolutely fabulous Joanna Lumley to launch ‘Shwopping’; a nationwide sustainable fashion and clothes recycling initiative.
The idea is that old clothes should not just be thrown out; next time you pop into the store to buy something new, drop something old (irrespective of brand or label) into an M&S Shwop Drop. (And you don’t need to buy something to drop your clothes!)

The clothing will be donated to Oxfam to resell, reuse or recycle. Any money raised from the clothing will be used to fight poverty around the world. M&S is even looking to make shwopping available online (we’ll keep you posted)!

I am a strong believer in the philosophy; ‘You are what you wear’. My clothes are a both a conscious and unconscious reflection of my personality – they create a first impression and resonate an image.
And I am not the only one who thinks so.
Clinical Psychologist Jennifer Baumgartner (who also runs her own wardrobe consulting business) is the author of new book You Are What You Wear, which is a fashion guide based that identifies the psychology behind clothing choices in a bid to help readers develop a personal style that suits their respective identities.
The essence behind Dr. Baumgartner’s advice is that “the inside and the outside are inextricably linked and this feedback loop creates a constant conversation that informs all activities, from eating, sleeping, having sex… and dressing.”

According to Dr. Baumgartner’s ‘psychology of dress’, she is able to identify any emotional problems, and also help solve them. Pretty cool!
