Beauty Blogger post of the week

Cheated-Heartss is the winner of this week’s Beauty Blogger Post of the Week award.

Our 22 year-old blogging expert from the West Midlands has found a product that cures dry hair. Yes, really! Check out her review of John Frieda’s Frizz-Ease miracle treatment – which just might actually be miraculous!

John Frieda daily miracle treatment review…

If you didn’t know I’m addicted to any hair products that claim to make your hair “stronger/healthier” having long hair it’s more prone to getting dry so when I got asked if I would like to review the newest product from the John Frieda Frizz Ease range I happily agreed.

Vitamin infused leave in conditioner nourishes and detangles dry, damaged strands to help hair resist breakage and feel silky-smooth. With heat protectant. Safe for colour treated hair”

Being rather lazy the past few weeks I was blow-drying my hair, (something I never do) instead of letting it dry naturally as a result I was greeted with nice dry hair…not! So as instructed, I sprayed liberally throughout clean, damp hair. As it’s a leave in conditioner there’s no need to wash out afterwards which I like as it can be left in to work its magic.

First thing you notice when you spray is the smell; it’s gorgeous. The product leaves no greasy residue behind and also doesn’t weigh the hair down like some treatments I’ve used.

Beauty Blogger post of the week

This week’s beauty blogger post of the week is written by Joy, the author of All Made Up.

Joy is a beauty buff who likes makeup, pizza and tea – in no particular order.

Read about our beauty blogger’s flirtation with Rimmel and discover her impressions of nine products that she almost forgot she had:

All Rimmel FOTD – Marks outta 10 for the products

I was doing my makeup during the week and noticed that I’d used the same brand for my foundation, concealer and eye shadow… Figured it’d be interesting to try finishing the whole look with only that one brand to see how it turned out. I’ve been doing it every morning and it’s actually got me using makeup that I haven’t even looked at since I bought it!

Generally I use the same old products fairly frequently cos if I’m in a rush (which is most of the time) I know they get the job done with minimal fuss. I’m gonna keep up this one-brand-makeup-look for a while and figured I’d let you know how I’ve been getting on with some of the products

Foundation: Stay Matte Foundation in true ivory. Like this a lot but it’s not quite as long wearing now that my skin is a tad oily. Picture above was taken after this had been on for 8 hours or so and you can really see where it’s fading – 7/10

Beauty Blogger post of the week

This week’s Beauty Blogger Post of the Week award goes to Stina, the woman behind ChicBeautyBlog.com.

Stina is part time as an office manager and, the rest of the time, a yummy mummy at home looking after her two gorgeous boys!

Our lovely beauty blogger is a self-confessed beautyholic who has a thing for high end brands, preferring the likes of YSL, Chanel and Dior, but, never one to pass up a good beauty bargain (now & again), Stina will happily experiment with brands including ELF, Eyeko, Barry M, Maybelline, Sleek et al.

Check out Stina’s favourite products

My Most Used Products in August

I have been using the following products constantly throughout August and I think they definitely deserve a mention.

So without further ado:

Nars “Orgasm” illuminator, L’oreal Voluminous mascara, MUA Heaven and Earth palette, Clarins flash beauty balm, Mac bronzing powder, Sleek “Barely There” matte lipstick and Illamasqua lipgloss.

1: MUA Heaven & Earth palette I have used it every single day since I got it nearly 2 months ago!

The colours are absolutely perfect for day time for me, and when applied in the morning it’s still there at night time. LOVE this palette so much!

2: Illamasqua intense lip gloss in the color “Move”. I use this almost every day, either on its own or on top of the lipstick I’ll also mention later in this post. It’s a great pigmented mid-pink colour and as I am a bit of a lip gloss fanatic it’s always important a gloss feels nice – and this one feels and smells / tastes nice.

3: Loreal voluminous mascara in “Carbon black”- I think it is safe to say this is one of my all-time favourite mascaras, I have re-purchased this over & over and it never lets me down for thick, long non-clumpy lashes. For a high street mascara this is the best I have tried for sure!

4: MAC Bronzing powder in “Medium” is the best bronzer for me. It was the first bronzer I ever owned back in 2006 and it’s the same one I keep coming back to. It’s so subtle and natural and no hint of orange.

I can use it all over my face, and it just gives the best healthy glow without looking obviously like a bronzer!

St. Moriz

Times are hard and money is tight, but a girl still needs a great tan. Right?!

I spotted St. Moriz Instant Self Tanning Mousse at my local Superdrug and just had to buy it. I had heard good things about this budget self-tan but could not believe it could be that good when it is so cheap.

Saskia a thirty and flirty, fashion loving, beauty obsessive with a penchant for interior design, stuffing my face, getting fit and fake tan. Read our beauty blogger’s review on Fire Blush by FACE Stockholm.

Face Stockholm – Blush Fire

To be honest, I don’t know much about the brand FACE Stockholm but my husband picked this gorgeous blush up for me a while back on one of  his business trips.

The most I had heard of the brand in terms of its quality was just how wonderfully pigmented the products are and this in itself intrigued me so I was pretty chuffed to try out one of their blushes.
