Here’s my theory: if we’re going to be plastering our faces with foundation on a daily basis, it’s probably a good idea to use one that’s free from chemicals and preservatives. Our skin absorbs what we put on it and if it so happens to be something dodgy then we’ll pay the price at some point (says the girl with the tattoo(s)).
Natural and organic cosmetics brand Anita Grant has launched a brand new chemical and preservative free foundation range called Hello Beautiful. The range aims to offer one of the most affordable and comprehensive pallets available for darker skin tones in particular.
There are 29 colours in the range from ‘Biscotti’ and ‘Vanilla Sugar’ on the lighter end of the spectrum to ‘Fondant Au Chocolat’ and ‘Hot Fudge’ on the darker end.
I don’t know about y’all but I am total sucker for makeup (anything in fact) that sounds edible – other delicious sounding shades include ‘Shortbread’, ‘Cinnamon Toast’, ‘Spiced Pumpkin’, ‘Brown Sugar Truffle’ ‘Warm Honey Blossom’, ‘Honey Butter Popcorn’ and ‘Mocha Latte’.

A regular 10g foundation tub costs £12.95 (pretty reasonable if you ask me!) or you can pay £1.95 for a 1g sample.

If you live in the world (which, as you may have realised, excludes no one) and haven’t heard of ‘the Kate Middleton effect’ you’ve been living under one seriously large rock. The phenomenon even has its own Wikipedia entry – for heaven’s sake!
The lovely Duchess (and her accompanying fashion savvy) is responsible for a lookalike effect that has taken the globe by storm.
By ‘the globe’ I am referring mostly to America, of course.
The latest in the Kate Middleton effect is that brunette is back! Everyone’s going brunette (also known as ‘brown’) –Jennifer Lawrence, Rihanna, Amanda Holden, Carol Vorderman, Tulisa and Britney… Britney people, BRITNEY! – The princess of pop rocked up to Elton John’s Oscar (2013) party with brown hair. Whaaaat!

“Woman’s Own” (March 2013) says that brunette hair colourant has overtaken blonde as the most popular DIY shade.

What does your hair say about you? Let’s avoid the jibber-jabber and get straight to business – I’ll give you one word for each style:
From where did I get my brilliantly reductive reasoning? Credit to Consumer Instinct – “Hair Talk: What Does Your Hair Say About You?” dishes the dirt on the luscious locks that grace our collective head.
The aforementioned article says “Hairstyles are a good indication of a woman’s personality and could be as unique as the character itself.” Now, how many of us wear the same hair our whole lives? Anyone?

I’ve had seven of the above eight hairstyles in my lifetime, so far. And I certainly wouldn’t attribute this to a change in personality.

When the Kardashian sisters do anything, yes anything, everyone listens! I like to call it “world domination”.
And the latest is a new range of fake tanning products called ‘Kardashian Sun Kissed’ – surely a marketing-driven word play that implies the notion that fake tan can look real or ‘sun kissed’. And of course the Kardashian brand will assure sales a-plenty.
Talking to wwd.com, the Kardashian gals say that the idea behind the new tanning product is to promote both beauty and health; the range is paraben- and sulphate-free.
Kardashian Sun Kissed works in three steps: the first step is to use a ‘Body Exfoliator’ or ‘Color Maximizer’, the second step is choosing either ‘Instant Sunless Lotion’ or ‘Instant Sunless Spray’ and the final step is to apply ‘Tan Extender’ with ‘Bronzers’.

And then you’ll look exactly like a Kardashian…..!

The denizens of Celebdom are always doing random stuff to beautify their faces; the more bizarre the treatment the more popular it seems to be. The latest is: Vampire Facelifts.
What is a vampire facelift?!!!!
The imagination conjures all sorts of interesting scenarios around the concept of a Vampire Facelift but what it actually is, is the injection of blood components into the face. Blood is drawn, ‘spun’ and the solid component is separated from (fibrin and platelets) from the other components and the fibrin and platelets are injected into the wrinkles in the face.
The pro is that the stuff being injected into your face is all you. The con is that, well… eeeuw and ouch!
But the A-listers love it. Kim Kardashian and Ana Friel are two of the latest celebs to swear by the treatment, according to “The Independent”.
The aim is to rejuvenate the skin. So you won’t end up looking like a pasty faced, Twilight-ifected Robert Pattinson. The platelet-rich plasma will sculpt the face and do the following (according to Vampirefacelift.com):

1. The skin colour becomes a ‘younger’ colour because of new blood vessel formation.
