Kardashian Sun Kissed – a new range of fake tanning products

When the Kardashian sisters do anything, yes anything, everyone listens! I like to call it “world domination”.

And the latest is a new range of fake tanning products called ‘Kardashian Sun Kissed’ – surely a marketing-driven word play that implies the notion that fake tan can look real or ‘sun kissed’. And of course the Kardashian brand will assure sales a-plenty.

Talking to wwd.com, the Kardashian gals say that the idea behind the new tanning product is to promote both beauty and health; the range is paraben- and sulphate-free.

Kardashian Sun Kissed works in three steps: the first step is to use a ‘Body Exfoliator’ or ‘Color Maximizer’, the second step is choosing either ‘Instant Sunless Lotion’ or ‘Instant Sunless Spray’ and the final step is to apply ‘Tan Extender’ with ‘Bronzers’.

And then you’ll look exactly like a Kardashian…..!

What is a vampire facelift?

The denizens of Celebdom are always doing random stuff to beautify their faces; the more bizarre the treatment the more popular it seems to be.  The latest is: Vampire Facelifts.

What is a vampire facelift?!!!!

The imagination conjures all sorts of interesting scenarios around the concept of a Vampire Facelift but what it actually is, is the injection of blood components into the face. Blood is drawn, ‘spun’ and the solid component is separated from (fibrin and platelets) from the other components and the fibrin and platelets are injected into the wrinkles in the face.

The pro is that the stuff being injected into your face is all you. The con is that, well… eeeuw and ouch!

But the A-listers love it. Kim Kardashian and Ana Friel are two of the latest celebs to swear by the treatment, according to “The Independent”.

The aim is to rejuvenate the skin. So you won’t end up looking like a pasty faced, Twilight-ifected Robert Pattinson. The platelet-rich plasma will sculpt the face and do the following (according to Vampirefacelift.com):

1. The skin colour becomes a ‘younger’ colour because of new blood vessel formation.

Katie Holmes’ new beauty treatment: snail slime!

If you haven’t yet read about Katie Holmes and her miracle beauty treatment – let me fill you in…

…it’s snail slime. For real. The Dailymail.co.uk says so.

Okay, now Katie is not collecting snails from her garden and letting them wonder all over her beautiful face in the hope that her skin will gain some rejuvenating property – as much as the headlines would have us believe. The star is said to use face creams that have been enriched with mucin aka snail slime.

Snail mucus is thought to reduce pigmentation and scarring, and reduce wrinkles; and we know how Hollywood gets when it comes to anything that claims to defy the ageing process!

The slime produced by a snail is used to heal its foot when damaged by the harsh undergrowth over which it moves– so it sort of makes sense that the same might work when applied to human skin. Right?

Beauty tips from Kimberley Walsh

Kimberley Walsh danced her way to the final of 2012’s Strictly Come Dancing season only to be beaten by über popular Louis Smith. But Kim was a star in her own right, lighting up the dance floor with a sassy tango and jaunty jive – it was entertainment deluxe.

Not only is the lovely Kim a great dancer; she’s totally gorgeous and has a killer bod to match. I have a feeling I’m not the only gal out there who wants to know how the Girls Aloud singer keeps her skin looking suave.

In a recent two page spread published in The Sun a couple of months ago – also the first of a weekly Sunday beauty column written by Kimberley – the Strictly dancer revealed a few of her beauty secrets.

Princess Diana’s beauty secrets

Diana, the People’s Princess, died fifteen years ago – most of us Brits know exactly where we were, what we were doing, when we heard the tragic news. Di would’ve been 51 this year; her boys are all grown up, Will is married – boy, time flies.

My fondest ‘Di memory’ is visiting my aunty and paging through a book she had of Diana in all of her princess glory – crowns, gowns and all. I loved it – a ‘real life’ princess!

As a fashion and beauty icon whose presence has transcended time, years later we still marvel at Di’s flawless skin and trend-setting style. In an exclusive interview with Stylist magazine, Diana’s makeup artist Mary Greenwell has revealed Princess Diana’s beauty secrets. And they’re all totally sensible (yay!):

* Remove all your makeup before at the end of the day.

* Make sure your face is clean before applying makeup.

* Sleep, exercise and a good diet are essential for great skin.
