Shorts are really short this summer. The runways are teeming with daring designs worn by long legged beauties and celebs are hitting the town with pins on show and style in tow.

Here’s the question; are short shorts only for lasses with legs up top their elbows or can those of us of the shorter variety wear short shorts and look good in them?

In brief: Hell Yeah!

And even better – you don’t have to have the world’s best legs either. So – how can you get away with it?

Well…

…if you have beautiful long legs, raise your eyes to the heavens and whisper a prayer of thanks as you drape your perfect pins in shorts of any style, shape and size. We’re all very jealous. Yes – that includes you Cameron Diaz.

Short Shorts

If your legs are short but gorgeous, show them off in a pair of high waist shorts, which elongate the leg. To create the illusion of length; wear your high waisters with top tucked in and a pair of killer heels.

And if you’re short with legs that are not all that finely sculpted but you love short shorts anywho (aka me); most likely you won’t feel confident enough to bear your not-so-perfect pins but pop on a pair of funky tights and you’re A for Away. My favourite look: my twenty-up Dr Martens, bright red tights and leopard print culotte shorts. If I can get away with it, anyone can.

Gals, be confident this summer! Don’t be afraid to try different looks and definitely don’t be afraid to get your groove on with shorter shorts.
